In an exhilarating five-set showdown, the Barr-Reeve Vikings clinched the 2025 Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Class 2A girls volleyball state title with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Benton Central Lady Bison at Indianapolis’ Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The final scoreline read 18-25, 25-18, 25-23, 17-25, 15-10. This championship marks Barr-Reeve’s fourth girls volleyball state title in program history. The school previously claimed titles in 2013, 2018 (both Class 1A) and 2020 (Class 2A). What makes this win even more impressive is the level of competition and the fact that Barr-Reeve is a small-school powerhouse, competing against larger programs yet still emerging victorious. For the seniors on this squad, the goal was clear from the start of summer: return to the top of the podium. Their dedication both in the gym and on the court carried the program back to its rightful place among Indiana’s elite. In a season defined by high expectations, pressure-packed matches and big moments, the Barr-Reeve Vikings proved once again they belong at the summit of Indiana high school volleyball. Their grit, poise and collective spirit brought home another championship—and added another proud chapter to the school’s legacy.
